So I knew I'm really in an alternate universe here when I all of a sudden realized I don't just get Thursday and Friday off from school for Thanksgiving, but they give us Wednesday off too. Evidently I'm completely losing my grasp on time, other than the fact that there are only 10 days of class left until finals start AHHHHH!!!! So don't mind me if i'm studying a majority of the time I'm home. I will however get home sometime Tuesday night and be home through Sunday afternoon. That won't however stop my shopping on Black Friday (I might be up to hitting the malls and stuff with you Amanda, so give me a call!). I also really want to see a whole bunch of movies over break, particularly Harry Potter and RENT, so if anyone wants to go with me, we should def. make plans!
As for more good news, my puppy was a little better yesterday. She was walking around a little more, and evidently while at the vet she even played with a ball a little bit (her favorite thing to do). Hopefully she'll be doing better again today, if she is I might stop worrying about her a little.
Anyway I should be paying attention to Civil Procedure . . . but because I'm such a dork about it I even found a quiz that tells you which Rule of Civil Procedure you are (goes with some of the notes I wrote the other day).
YOU ARE RULE 20(a)!
You are Rule 20, an important part of the Federal
Rules' policy of permissive joinder. You are
designed specifically to allow as many parties
in an action as can be tried efficiently, and
you'll include someone as long as there is some
factual overlap between a claim involving them
and the rest of the case at hand. You are
popular, out-going, and are never far from
friends. However, your overly gregarious
nature and magnanimous approach do make things
a bit crowded--you're the reason that lawsuits
are often cluttered with innumerable parties
and even more numberous claims for relief.
Still, despite the crowds that you attract, you
can't argue with the efficiency of getting
everything done at once!
